That’s a wrap on our 10th Annual Summer Kids Series, presented by the Turner Family! In all, we hosted 33 sessions and welcomed more than 450 Humane Heroes to the shelter to learn all about animals.
In June, kids collected badges to earn their Cat Care Certificates, and in July, they earned their Dog Care Certificates. They participated in a number of activities, including kitten yoga, Humane Hero Hour, and story time. And of course, we can’t forget Teddy Bear Surgery! This year, we offered two sessions and welcomed more than 100 kids (and their stuffed animals) to our clinic. We were also thrilled to bring back our Outdoor Movie Night in June, presented by Q2, Ultimate Outdoor Entertainment, Xtreme LED Screens and Mutts Cantina. Yesterday, the fun wrapped up with our Graduation & Field Day event, which was held at the AHS shelter, and included a special appearance from our friends at Kona Ice. It was certainly a day to remember
We’ll see you next year!
A very special thank you to the presenters of our 10th Annual Summer Kids Series, the Turner Family, and supporting sponsors Q2 and H-E-B Helping Here. This would not be possible without you! We’d also like to extend a thank you to our participating partners for making Summer Kids Series an event to remember:
