Partner Programs

Want to bring your group to volunteer at the AHS shelter? Through our Service Day program, we can accommodate groups of up to 20 volunteers per session.

Service Days on-site at the Austin Humane Society are available Wednesday– Thursday for a recommended time of 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Volunteers who help us with animal care go through an in-depth training process and commit to monthly hours. Click here to learn more.)

Each Service Day includes a behind-the-scenes tour, shelter improvement tasks, and a meet-and-greet with an animal. Service Days should be scheduled at least one month in advance at the shelter’s availability; not all dates will be available. For groups of up to 100, an AHS staff member and furry friend will travel to your location to lead a one hour (or less) toy-making activity for the animals! We can provide supplies upon request. This is your chance to experience all the puppy or kitten love with a one hour puppy or kitten snuggle party at AHS or at your location. This experience includes animal snuggles led by a staff member and optional toy-making craft. We can host up to 20 attendees per party at AHS and an unlimited number of attendees at your location. Select a pet from our website that inspires you! With a gift of $250, you will provide full medical care and shelter for an animal during their stay at AHS. As an alternative, you can sponsor a pet’s medical care for just $100 and be part of their lifesaving care! Click here to get started.

Adopt a Kennel at AHS year-round with a $2,500 donation and we will send you updates throughout the year! Each adopted kennel includes a customizable plaque seen by our 40,000+ visitors each year!

Join us as we build the future home of AHS: our new Compassion Center! Rags to Wags – More than 800 of Austin’s animal lovers gather each year to enjoy a night of delicious food, drinks, adoptable animals, raffles, auctions, and so much more! This year’s event is November 23, 2024 at the Fairmont Austin. Sponsorships available on July 1. Pet Food Pantry Drive – Since May 2020, AHS has distributed hundreds of thousands of pounds of pet food to pet owners in need. Help us restock our food pantry by hosting a donation drive for dry dog and cat food of any brand (unopened, unexpired food only, please).

Gift cards help us purchase the supplies that we need to care for 11,000+ animals each year! We accept gift cards from any restaurant or business but prefer gift cards from: H-E-B, Chewy, Amazon, Petco, Petsmart, Target, Walmart, Home Depot and Lowes.
